Ever see anyone go shopping with a picture of a vintage Submariner on a bag? No? Well, that's because that's not your average grocery bag- and likewise! This is a fabric bag made in special collaboration Teun from Watches and Pencils, that bears the iconic 4-Liner “SUBMARINE(R)” Illustration. Now, fellow vintage watch aficionados in the crowd will know you're in it as well! Limited to 50 pieces, the bag was made in USA, and further custom modified by NOSTIME in order to withstand very heavy weights. The body of the bag and the handle has been strengthened using a riveted connection, so it will handle any sort of shopping or otherwise. Built to last, custom ordered with attention to detail.

  • Durable, one-piece satchel bottom construction
  • Handles are tucked and folded under the top hem, then sewn and back-stitched with 40# thread

Short Interview with Mr.Teun

Q: Where are you from, and what's the background behind your work?
I work and live in the Netherlands. In my day to day life I'm a designer and illustrator. I have studied arts and come from a family of artists. With Watches and Pencils I combined my two passions (illustrations and watches) into one.

Q: What kind of work are you doing nowadays?
I work on projects for big and small watch brands, forums and blogs. For example, I created custom illustrations for a group of watch nerds and created custom pieces for specific watches. Besides this I make illustrations just because I like them myself and want to publish them / entertain the watch crowd. Now and then I release signed prints, stickers and screensavers. For 2019 I'm planning to release a limited book with a selection of all my work so far. Q: Why draw watches as the subject?
I'm fascinated by the level of detail and the variety. Watch design is all about this. Also, the technique is amazing.

Q: Can you say a few words about the illustration you picked for this collaboration?
Maybe the most iconic dive watch ever should have it's own illustration. It's a typical Watches and Pencils drawing where I combine two subjects into one. In this case the combination couldn't be more obvious: combining the watch with a true submariner.
